How Are Classes Arranged
Organisation into ‘grades’, as in mainstream schools, is not possible because of the small numbers, the different ages of the pupil intake from year to year and the wide range of different needs, which require different approaches. Children are allocated to classes on the basis of age and specific educational needs. Children at The Learning Path will be taught in a group as well as individually.
Group teaching helps the children to socialise, take turns, communicate and learn from each other. Whereas teaching individually and working on an individual educational plan helps the children to meet their specific educational needs. A class teacher is responsible for each class, supported by a teaching assistant.
